Celebrity Rockaoke Event to Raise Money for BLESMA
Vital Management in Manchester has organised ROCKAOKE – a celebrity filled event to raise funds for both BLESMA and Macmillan Cancer Support. Celebrities will be performing live rock, pop and punk music at the Manchester Moho Live venue on December 8th 2009.
This unique event, presented by Coronation Street beauties Helen Flanagan (Rosie Webster) and Nikki Patel (Amber Alahan), sees television stars fronting a live rock band for the first time in their careers. Alongside the live music, rival soaps will compete during a battle of the bad boy DJ’s, with Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) going against Coronation Street’s jailbird John Stape (Graeme Hawley).
This event has tremendous support from celebrities around the country, with confirmed singers on the night including Michelle Keegan Tina McIntyre), Brook Vincent (Sophie Webster), Shobna Gulati (Sunita Alahan), Ben Richardson (Lucian Laviscount), Sasha Parkinon (Sian Powers), Emma Edmondson (Mel Morton) all from Coronation Street, and Gerard McCarthy (Kris Fisher) and Andrew Moss (Reece Ashworth) from Hollyoaks.
Also supporting the night will be Xfactor finalists Bad Lashes, Britannia High lead singer Marcquelle Ward, front man from Little Volcanoes Philip Quinn, Poppy Rush from The Sticks, and Alison Crawford.
Actress Michelle Keegan said: “I am really excited to be performing, but also a little nervous as I have only sung at home or on Karaoke with my friends. I think I will bring them all along for moral support!”
Helen Flanagan said: “The charities that will benefit from this special night do such an incredible job, and they really need support. I am happy to get involved and can’t wait to see all my friends from Corrie take to the stage.”
The band “Rockaoke”, who will be backing the celebs on the night, have performed amongst the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Chris Moyles, Justin Lee Collins, Peter Andre, James Corden, Davina Mcall and the Kaiser Chief’s Ricky Wilson.
Although there will be a paying guest list on the door of £7, it is advised to buy tickets before hand as this event is set to sell out as more and more celebrities confirm each day, making this a truly memorable evening.
Tickets can be purchased at the following outlets: www.skiddle.com, www.ticketline.com and Piccadilly Records, Oldham St. Manchester
Organiser Laura Graham from Vital Management and Media Relations said: “This event promises to be totally unique and I hope all the guests will get in the mood for Christmas as well as raise some money for two charities that are very close to my heart”
