Our Homes
Elizabeth Frankland Moore BLESMA Home
Our Elizabeth Frankland Moore BLESMA Home is situated on Lytham Road, Blackpool and was opened in 1949 by our then Royal Patron HRH Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester.
We provide 24 hour nursing and residential care for ex-service men and women and our own fully qualified nursing and care staff are supported by the local doctor and hospitals. A dedicated Medical Officer is always on call.
We aim to make the life of our residents one of dignity, privacy and one always dispensed with humanity. Our residents are encouraged to fully participate in decisions for their daily living and to join our trips around the local areas. They are also encouraged to make use of the many and varied community resources available, indeed, electronic buggies and wheelchairs are available for added independence.
Our accommodation facilities are of a high standard. All rooms are en- suite, there are six double rooms and one single room for visitors on respite care and also nine single nursing beds. All rooms have colour television with two satellite channels and a small bar operates for three hours each day.

Ancaster BLESMA Home
Our Ancaster BLESMA Home has been located in Crieff, on a south-facing slope of the Grampian foothills, since 1963. This is one of Scotland's most beautiful and unspoiled areas where the lush, rolling countryside of the Lowlands meets the grandeur of the Perthshire Highlands. Steep slopes tower from the Glen floor, magnificent autumn foliage surrounds peaceful Loch Monzievaird and wooded crags shroud Comrie and the sunlit shores of Loch Earn. It is Scottish landscape at its best.
Our Home offers 24hr nursing and residential permanent care as well as respite care. A dedicated Medical Officer is always on call and our own nursing and care staff are supported by the local doctor and hospitals. Single rooms and twin bedded rooms, all have en-suite facilities and colour television. Sky television is available in lounges and communal areas, as well as a full size snooker table in a well equipped games room which goes out into our 2.5 acre garden. There is entertainment in the evenings: singers, music, magicians showing about three times a week in the summer.
An itinerary full of up to five excursions a week is available to those who enjoy the active life. Electronic buggies and wheelchairs are also available for added independence. Weekly swimming trips are run to the Strathearn Recreation Centre whilst some Members prefer to sit in our tranquil gardens and soak up the sun and panoramic views.
For the more active minded, sailing, fishing, water sports, riding, flying and parachuting are available all with disabled facilities.
Our aim is to ensure you enjoy your stay to the full whether you choose to have a quiet restful break or a busy active fortnight.
