The Chara Challenge Run for BLESMA
3 Commando Brigade returned from Afghanistan in April after a six month tour of duty. 37 comrades were killed in action, 169 were wounded in action and 379 suffered non-battle related injuries. The challenge has raised £15,000 for BLESMA to date.

Help for Heroes gives money to BLESMA

Ex Serviceman adds weight to the London Marathon
In 2004, author Chris Hunter served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal operator in Iraq. He is now attempting to run the London marathon wearing a 75lb protective Explosive Ordnance Disposal suit for the British Limbless Ex Service Men’s Association (BLESMA).
