Bookies Rate BLESMA Member Steve Gill at 4 to 1 on in Big Brother HouseSteve Gill who entered the Big Brother House on 9th June is a well known figure in BLESMA - known as our most decorated Member - on account of his copious and entertaining body art.He lost both his legs and an eye in a bomb attack in N Ireland in 1989. BLESMA has been able to help Steve overcome his disabilities and he has become an inspiration to the disabled and able bodied alike. He has crossed the Atlantic as part of a BLESMA crew (only amputees on board) - not bad for someone who really didnt like water - where he was a real inspiration and mentor to our younger amputees injured recently in Afghanistan and Iraq.
And, he "gives back" in his home town of Leicester where he coaches the Leicester Cobras Wheelchair Basketball Team. Steve truly lives up to BLESMA's unofficial motto - "there is always someone worse off". He suffered fearful injuries and he has moved on. His glass is always half full and we admire his fortitde, humour and humanity - see more of Steve Gill in BLESMA by watching our Steve Gill video.
