Disabled Sports USA/Wounded Warrior

ArrivalFor the third year BLESMA are proud to have been invited by the Disabled Sports USA/Wounded Warrior project to take part in their Winter Sports Extravaganza at Breckenridge, Colorado.

A party of 15 disabled serving and ex-service Members set off on Friday 5th December and will return on Tuesday 16th December. Included in the group are 11 Members injured in the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Mark OrmrodEvents of this nature are vital in the rehabilitation process of each individual and BLESMA firmly believe in the value of "Amputee teaching Amputee" as they regain their self confidence and esteem and face the challenge of recovery from their horrific injuries.

A full report will appear on this site post event.
