US - UK Soldier Ride 2011

A group of thirty Amputee veterans from the UK and the US Wounded Warrior Project are embarking on a ten day cycling challenge - Soldier Ride UK - to raise awareness for BLESMA and the ABF Soldier's Charity.

They will be cycling 40 plus miles everyday, visiting historic sites and meeting well-wishers along the way.  The group is comprised of members of different abilities and extends of injuries, so some will complete the course on handcycles or even specially adapted 'standard' bikes to allow members without arms to operate them safely.

If you would like to cheer them on, get in touch with us on headquarters@blesma.org with your location.  The ride will predominantly pass through the south of England, including Wiltshire, Berkshire and London.
