Meet Lisa Johnstone

Trustee for Blesma since

30 June 2024

Their Story

Lisa Johnston joined the Royal Army Medical Corps in 2001 as a Combat Medical Technician. Serving for 17 years, she traveled the globe, including postings to Germany, the Falklands, Egypt, Iraq, and Kuwait. A training injury in 2014 led to the development of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, eventually resulting in the loss of her left leg above the knee in June 2016.

Despite this, Lisa has continued to push boundaries, competing in the Warrior Games, where she earned three gold medals and broke a record in backstroke. She remains highly active and is involved in numerous sports, including skiing and flying.

Lisa is now an enthusiastic Blesma Member.
