Alex served in 3 Rifles. He lost his leg whilst serving in Afghanistan. For many limbless veterans, everyday tasks aren't always simple.

For Alex, getting into the shower used to mean hopping over a raised step and risking injury.

After losing his leg while serving his country, everyday tasks at home became harder than they should have been.

With Blesma’s support, Alex’s bathroom was transformed with a new wet room — giving him back safety, confidence and independence.

"I’ve been a Blesma Member since I got the injury, and my Support Officer was really helpful and handled it."
