We are incredibly grateful to the Bernard Sunley Foundation for supporting Blesma as our Charity Champion for the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2022 Campaign.
Bernard Sunley Foundation has generously donated £6,550 as our Charity Champion for the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2022 Campaign to help limbless and injured veterans combat hardship and isolation. Thanks to the Foundation’s kind support, donations raised between 29 November and 6 December 2022 were matched funded and had twice the impact.
We are pleased to announce that the 2022 Blesma Give Christmas Challenge was our most successful to date – raising a record-breaking £26,325, with gift aid this amounts to £27,287.50!
This achievement would not be possible without the support from the Foundation as our charity champion and the generosity of our pledgers and online donors.
Bernard Sunley Foundation is family grant making foundation which supports charities in England and Wales working to raise the quality of life and provide greater opportunities for the young, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged. The Foundation has very kindly supported Blesma’s work since 2008, with more recent donations in 2012 and 2014.
About Blesma’s Big Give Campaign: Limbless veterans are no strangers to financial struggles. Today, Blesma Members are at greater risk of isolation and hardship due to high energy prices and continual cost of living increases. Funds raised will help our Blesma Members: receive entitlement they are owed, be able to pay for essential home and garden maintenance and adaptions costs, and access specialist mobility aids and health treatments to help improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.
Thank you again to Bernard Sunley Foundation for helping our limbless and injured veterans lead independent and fulfilling lives.
