Blesma Bucket Collector- Volunteer Agreement and Code of Conduct

Volunteers are an integral part of Blesma’ s infrastructure, contributing to fundraising efforts and providing invaluable support to our members. Thank you for joining our Volunteer Network!

What you can expect from us -

As a valued volunteer, Blesma commits to providing you with:

• A safe and supportive environment in which to volunteer
• An assigned member of staff to provide ongoing support
• Respect and recognition of your contribution
• Reimbursement of reasonable expenses

What we require from you -

• Completion of necessary paperwork required for your role
• Adherence to the Code of Conduct at all times
• To honour time commitments agreed upon. If unable to do so, to provide reasonable notice where possible

Blesma Bucket Collector Code of Conduct

As a Blesma Bucket Collector you are required to adhere to the following guidelines to ensure the highest standards of conduct and support for the Association, its members, staff and fellow volunteers. 

• Follow Blesma’s Bucket Collection procedure, as explained prior to your first collection
• Treat all sensitive information regarding the Association, its members, staff and volunteers as confidential
• Avoid expressing personal views that could be misinterpreted as those of Blesma, or that contradict our ethos
• Refrain in engaging in any political activities on behalf of Blesma
• Avoid any actions or behaviour that might bring Blesma into disrepute
• Do not make discriminatory, inappropriate, abusive or sexual remarks
• Notify your assigned Blesma staff member if you identify any concerning behaviour of fellow volunteers
• Do not give or accept gifts or gratuities from members
• Properly account for all funds collected on behalf of Blesma
• Do not bring family members or pets to accompany you
• Stay within the remit of your agreed role and avoid engaging in activities beyond this scope
• Do not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs whilst volunteering.  This includes prescription medication that may impair your ability to carry out your role
• If smoking breaks are required, please ensure that they are taken away from the volunteer activity and you remove your volunteer tabard whilst doing so

In situations where expectations are not met and concerns cannot be resolved; we may need to reconsider your continued involvement as a Volunteer.
